Make The Most Of Your Stay At Sapinero Village
There are limited resources around Blue Mesa. Make sure you pick up groceries, beer, wine, spirits, propane and fuel before heading out of Gunnison or Montrose. The marinas have fuel for boats only.
Fishing Licenses are no longer available at the marinas. If you’re coming from Gunnison we recommend stopping at Gene Taylors for licenses, they also have a great selection of gear. Be sure you venture around the building to find the outlet store for great savings!
Live marine bait is not allowed on or around Blue Mesa. Make sure you have worms, frozen bait or artificial lures for your trip.
The Colorado mountain weather can change quickly. Even if you visit in the summer make sure you have some warm clothes for unexpected storms and cool nights.
Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen.
We have beach access just 1/3rd of a mile from us. Make sure you bring gear to take full advantage of the area.
Cell phone service is spotty at best in our area. We do offer public WiFi for internet browsing and phone calls. Double check that your WiFi calling is activated on your phone before you come.
In an emergency, the closest hospital is in Gunnison. An ambulance can take up to 30 minutes to reach us. The campground keeps a simple first aid kit on site. Please make sure you have any needed medications and emergency devices with you.
Pets are welcome on the campground and around the area please check with the local wildlife office for up to date leash laws.
